Gargantuant are a new five-piece band from Bristol who play their own lyrical and literate form of metal. Their songs include a sea-shanty nightmare describing Davy Jones' Locker, the future dangers of the thought-police and a dark 'Beneath the Planet of the Apes'-inspired epic where the worshipped nuclear bomb has been replaced with a giant, mutant insect. They have been described as “ like a supercell of fire ants stripping slower, dumber bands to the bone” and are swiftly generating their own colony of eager fans.
